Methodology:  Lecture. 

                    In this awareness program was organized by ODIC staff. Introduction speech was given by T. Anusuya, Out Reach Worker. Vice Principal of the school spoke few words about this topic and started the program.                   

                    Chief Guest of the program Dr. Jamuna, Medical officer, Ariyankuppam Primary Health Centre handled the topic “Ill effects of substance abuse in general and followed by Mr. Sivanandham, Project Director, Bharathamatha De addiction centre, Ariyankuppam explained about the alcoholism and its related disease. 

                    Around 84 students participated in the awareness program and benefited and also NSS program officers of the school and ANM of Primary Health Centre, Ariyankuppam participated in these awareness program. 

                   School Students actively participated in the program and in-between students also shared their experience with ODIC staffs and also asked about the treatment process. 

                    And finally vote of thanks was given by Mr. V. Arun Praveen, Centre Incharge cum Counsellor ODIC.
