        International Social Work Day Program was Organized by ODIC Team in co-ordination with Bharathamatha De-addiction Centre. In these program chief guest is Mr. Karthikeyan, Social Worker (Founder and Director of Sristhi Village in Konnamangalam, Villupuram District, Tamilnadu) and Mr. Vannidasane (Social Worker in JIPMER, Puducherry).

        Mr. Jeyakumar (Administrator of Mother Trust) has started the Program and Ms. Vensin Mary (Outreach Worker of ODIC) has Welcoming all Guest, Staffs of ODIC and Bharathamatha, Participants.

        ODIC Team has conducted a mini Exhibition about Role of Social Worker in Eradication of Drugs in a Society. Around 25 Nursing Students from (Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute of Health Science - Gorimedu, Puducherry and Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College - Madagadipet, Puducherry) had enrolled their names and presented their talents through chart on Social Work Day Program (17th of March 2021) in ODIC Centre.

        Chief Guests had visited all the charts and selected 6 best performances out of 25. In these 6 best charts has get the certificate and mementos from the Chief Guests. Remain Participants has gets participants certificates.

6 Best Performance List:-

1. Ms. Susithra from Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institure of Health Science (MTPG&RIHS) - Gorimedu, Puducherry.

6. Over all One Best Chart from Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institure of Health Science (MTPG&RIHS) - Gorimedu, Puducherry.

        Mr. Karthikeyan (Founder and Director of Sristhi Foundation) has explained about the Social Work Day Celebration and Theme of the Social Work Day (UBUNTU) to the Participants. Participants has listened calmly. UBUNTU means "I am, because You are". In fact, the word UPUNTU is just part of the Zulu phrase "Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu", which literally means that a person through other people. Ubuntu has its roots in Humanist African philosophy, where the idea of community is one of the building blocks of Society.

        Mr. Vannidasane (Social Worker in JIPMER) has explained about the Role of Social Worker in Medical Field like Hospital, De-addiction Centre's. Mr. Vannidasane has Sharing his experience of medical field.

        Finally, Mr. Shivanandham (Project Director of Bharathamatha IRCA) has given Best Social Worker Award to our Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Karthikeyan and  Mr. Panneerselvam (Senior Counsellor of Bharathamatha IRCA) has given Best Social Woker Award to our Honorabel Chief Guest Mr. Vannidasane.

        Mr. V. Arun Praveen (Centre Incharge of ODIC) has explained about the ODIC Scheme to the Participants. The Scheme Details listed below:-

1.  Conduct a Awareness Program in Vulnerable Areas.

 

2.  Taking mini survey in Vulnerable Areas.

3.  Screening the Client (WHO ASSIST Scale).

4.  Referral to our Part Time Doctor.

5.  Refer certain Hospital or Deaddiction Centre.

6.  Issue Medicine.

7.  Provide Individual Counselling, Family Counselling, Group Theraphy.

8.  Conduct BCC Activity.

9.  2 Years Continuous Follow Up.

        Last but not least, Voluntarily one participants came and gave a amazing Feed Back.
