RALLY AWARENESSS PROGRAMME ON INTERNATIONAL DRUG ABUSE DAY.
The international Drug Abuse Day Awareness programme Conducted on 26-06-2022 by Social Welfare Department, Puducherry and Organised in collaboration with Bharatha Matha centre (IRCA), and Out Reach Drop in Centre, (ODIC). There are Ten College students are participate from Puducherry and Tamil Nadu area. Nearly 750 students are participated in this Rally programme. Rally programme starts from Middle of the city- Kamban Kali Arangam. Before starts progrmme Mr. Gopal pillai, Chairman, Bharatha Matha (IRCA) Welcome address speech given. Rally programme Inaugurated by Hon.chief Minister Rangasamy, Hon. Social welfare Minister Jayakumar, Thiru. Nehru, MLA, Social Welfare Director are delivered speech and after that shown green flag by Guest and then Rally programme was started. During this programme Govt. Dept. Staff, College HOD & Professors, Public people also participated. In front of the procession Mike announcement, Hand bills distribution also taken place. Students are carrying slogan plough cards and spoke to the people. Procession went through Anna salai, Kamarajar salai, Thiruvalluvar Salai, Saram and finally reached to the Main Bus Stand. After reached Bus stand Thiru. Siva, MLA participated and delivered nice speech to the public. Thiru. Siv a, MLA and Thirumathi. Pathmavathy, Director, SWD are published one Tamil book about Drug abuse and it was written by Thiru. Gopal Pillai. Then Certificates issued to the students those who are participated in Elocution Competition, and Essay writings. Then Thiru. Siva MLA was burnt the "Addicts Demon Effigy" The Police and Fire service staff are given protection and cooperate with us and it was appreciated by the team. At the end of the meeting One of the HOD professor conveyed thanks to all the participants . With that programme was concluded with thanks.
